​Welcome to the Broken Bowl Project

​The Broken Bowl Project, in collaboration with Ohlsen Clayworks, promotes and supports mindful healing with the understanding that as we go through life breaking and healing, we are all the more beautiful for being broken.

All Broken Bowl Project pieces are created by ceramic artist Brian Ohlsen. Starting with a ball of clay, he completes each step of it’s journey, from creation to broken to beautifully repaired. Each unique, handmade masterpiece is broken and mended following a traditional Kintsugi Kintsukuroi method, using powdered gold brass imported from Japan.

We specialize in original artwork, Kintsugi repairs and custom requests. Our handmade heirloom-quality pieces are perfect for anyone who can benefit from the metaphor of joining life’s pieces together to form something beautiful.
